Great Eastern Seafood’s Refreshed Cod is caught in the Bering sea, off the coast of Alaska. Exclusively long line caught using select high liners, the fish is blead, headed, gutted, and frozen within hours of being caught. This process is done entirely on the boat to ensure that the fish is frozen at the peak of freshness.
The fishing vessels are state of the art, with cold storage below decks, so that it remains in a temperature-controlled environment until it arrives at Great Eastern’s facility in Boston, MA. Once there, the fish remains in cold storage until it is thawed and cut to order.
